Montgomerie Links joined AGTC 2025 in Da Nang as a host destination for Pre-Fam Tours and connected with global travel partners at Asia’s largest golf tourism convention.
AGTC 2025 ORGANIZED IN DA NANG – A PREMIER DESTINATION FOR GLOBAL GOLF TOURISM
The 11th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) successfully took place in Da Nang, Vietnam, from March 30 to April 4, 2025. Organized annually by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), AGTC is one of the world’s leading events dedicated to golf tourism. This year’s event welcomed a record-breaking 450+ delegates from 33 countries and territories, including tour operators, travel agencies, international media, and representatives from golf courses, luxury resorts, and hotels across Asia and beyond.

This marks the second time Da Nang has hosted AGTC, following its first appearance in 2017 — a testament to the growing stature of Central Vietnam on the global golf tourism map. Most notably, Da Nang was honored with the “Outstanding Contribution to Golf Tourism” award, further solidifying the city’s influence and potential for growth in golf tourism.
MONTGOMERIE LINKS – A HOST DESTINATION FOR 2025 AGTC PRE-FAM TOURS
As an official member of IAGTO, Montgomerie Links Golf Club was proud to be selected as one of the official host destinations for the Pre-Fam Tour, offering international delegates firsthand experience of Central Vietnam’s premier golf offerings ahead of the main convention. On March 31 and April 1, AGTC delegates visited and played on the 18-hole championship golf course designed by golfing legend Colin Montgomerie.

Beyond the course, they were introduced to a full range of facilities at Montgomerie Links — including its hotel and villas, driving range, restaurants, and Pro Shop. These immersive experiences not only showcased the club’s exceptional service standards but also highlighted the growing appeal of the stay & play package, a product increasingly favoured in international markets.
BUSINESS MATCHMAKING DURING AGTC’S CORE CONVENTION DAYS
The main AGTC convention took place on April 3–4, featuring more than 5,000 B2B meetings between global buyers and suppliers. At its booth, Montgomerie Links Golf Club successfully engaged in over 50 face-to-face meetings with strategic partners from key markets, including South Korea, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

For long-term partners, the meetings were an opportunity to evaluate performance, analyze customer segments, and identify bottlenecks in current offerings. The Club presented tailored solutions and exclusive benefits to enhance product fit and reinforce long-term collaboration. Meanwhile, for first-time contacts or new market entrants, Montgomerie Links focused on presenting its diverse product portfolio while actively gathering insights on customer preferences, tour designs, and market strategies to ensure relevant consultation and support.

Overall, AGTC 2025 has become a golden opportunity for Montgomerie Links to reinforce its positioning as a premier golf and leisure destination in the region. More than just a place to play golf, the Club is now seen as a key player in the high-end tourism value chain, where sports, leisure, and local cultural experiences converge. The strategic connections made during AGTC 2025 are expected to be a solid springboard for the club’s commercial and branding campaigns throughout 2025–2026.
