Taking place on a beautiful day of the autumn - October 8th, 2022, the golf tournament "Heart Surgery Fund For The Poor" of the Dear Brothers Golf Association was held with great success on the stunning fairways at Montgomerie Links.
After the Club Championship - Montgomerie Links 2022 Club Championship occurred on September 17th, 2022 - as part of the Green Hope project, Montgomerie Links has completed its mission of being the connecting bridge between the "Heart Surgery Fund For The Poor" and the Dear Brothers Golf Association - Golfers with a warm heart for the community and silent donors who have helped with surgery costs for patients of the Cardiology Department - Da Nang General Hospital. In order to replicate these noble humanistic meanings, Montgomerie Links continued to accompany the Dear Brothers Golf Association for the second time to organize a golf tournament with the aim of helping those who have difficulties with heart disease and bringing a new chapter of a better life for them.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Lang, the representative of the Heart Surgery Fund for the Poor of Dear Brothers Golf Association, emotionally shared that business development and social responsibility are two necessarily inseparable activities. Since its establishment in December 2021, the "Heart Surgery Fund For The Poor" has supported 18 cases, each case from 5 to 135 million VND, and that figure will certainly non-stop, will be like a "wonderful rice pot Thach Sanh" which never runs out of.
Strikingly, in the awards ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuong, born in 1987, participated in sharing and expressing sincere gratitude and thanks to the sponsors. She is one of the fortunate cases supported with timely heart surgery on May 19th, 2022 by the Dear Brothers Golf Association to open up the chance to touch her dream of living with a healthy heart.
When it comes to the auction products to raise funds for the "Heart Surgery Fund For The Poor" at the awards ceremony, the painting "Mother Earth" by artist Ngo Thanh Hung - who has just been honored in the art exhibition by Mekong Delta in Thailand is really an impressive highlight, not only because the name "Mother Earth" is full of emotions, but also because the lines and colors that the author "breathes" into the painting. Shaped with clay combined with specialized synthetic lacquer materials in an abstract style, the artwork gives the audience a sense of the movements of all things in heaven and earth, of Mother Nature - Mother Earth through the gray-blue patches. The painting was officially sold at auction for 150 million VND.
This fundraising golf tournament closed with the sublimation of emotions when the total amount of money that came from the auction reached approximately 1 billion VND. Hopefully, tournaments with noble meaning for the public community will be increasingly replicated in golf clubs.
