POSTURE AT SET UP WITH DRIVER

When setting up to the golf ball for the Driver it’s important that we feel that we are behind the ball and ready launch up and through the golf ball.
A great tip to get you started on the right path is to make sure that when you set up that your left shoulder is higher than right shoulder and the ball is placed more to the left toe position, the head is slightly being the ball, this is dynamic position that allows you create a turn away from the ball and set the club in a powerful ready position at the top of the swing. The driver should not hit the ground when the ball is struck so we can think of the driver swing as hitting the ball on the upward path , this means that the starting set up position is behind the ball when using the driver

Here we can see the player is not set up well, the left shoulder is low and the head and hands are well in front of the ball, he will find it difficult to hit a solid shot form this position

After adjusting we can now see that the players left shoulder is high and the right shoulder is lower the head has dropped back behind the ball, now he is in a powerful position to swing through the ball
